The condensate pump can pump out condensation water through the included 16.5′ drain for continuous water removal with approximately 15′ of vertical lift. This Energy Star RPD-501WP portable dehumidifier includes a 14-pint bucket that can be removed and emptied. For low-temperature area usage, this unit has an auto defrost function to ensure moisture does not freeze and prevent further moisture extraction. From the Manufacturer Â TROUBLESHOOTING Â Many common portable dehumidifierâs problems are easily resolved. Try the troubleshooting suggestions below to see if the problems can be resolved before having to contact the service department. Â Problem Possible Causes Solutions The dehumidifier does not operate. Â ï· Power failure / outage. ï· The automatic switch, line fuse, or breaker has been tripped. Â ï· The power supply voltage is too low. ï· The power cord is damaged. Â ï· The dryness level you selected has been reached. ï· Drain bucket is full or not positioned properly. Â Â ï· Restore the power supply. ï· Flip the switch / change the fuse / turn the breaker back on. We recommend setting the RH% to at least 10% lower than the current RH%. ï· Ensure there is at least 10â of clearance for proper ventilation. ï· The appliance will not operate satisfacto-rily if the room temperature is below 41Â°F ï· Close windows or doors. Â Frost appears on the coils above the bucket. Â ï· The dehumidifier has been turned on recently. Â ï· Room temperature is too low. Â Â ï· This is normal due to refrigerant rushing through the coil. Frost will usually disap-pear within 60 minutes. This happens when the appliance is operating in low temperatures less than 53Â°F . ï· The appliance will not operate satisfacto-rily if the room temperature is below 41Â°F. Â The dehumidifier makes loud noise. Â ï· Appliance is not leveled. Â Â ï· Shut off the appliance and let it sit on lev-el surface for at least 6 hours.
